ANNOUNCEMENT OF AUTOQUIP CORPORATION’S PURCHASE OF AMERICAN LIFTS
On November 2nd Columbus McKinnon and Autoquip Corporation will announce the purchase
of American Lifts by
Autoquip Corporation.
We are writing this joint letter to you to let you know first, and to assure you
that all open orders, warranty claims, product support, and on-going lift requirements
will continue to be supported completely by Autoquip Corporation without interruption
or delay. American’s great line of material handling equipment will continue to
be designed and manufactured to serve our customers.
There will be no change or interruption with the American Lifts communication systems,
including phone, fax, and email services. In fact, on Monday you can contact American
Lifts just as you always have and work directly with same American/Autoquip personnel
you have always talked to.
It has been the pleasure of American Lifts to serve you over the past 70 years.
American has always striven to build and maintain a reputation of excellence in
design, manufacturing and customer service. We are proud of what we have accomplished
and to have served the material handling industry for so long. It has been a great
run.
Autoquip has an equally long and distinguished service record. Now Autoquip will
have the opportunity to add these great American products to its already broad product
offering of Inplant lifts, Dock lifts, VRC’s, and custom/special lifts. We will
do everything we can to take care of your requirements during this transition, and
look forward to providing you material handling solutions in the future.
Autoquip looks forward to contacting you in the coming weeks. As a valued customer
we simply wanted you to be the first to know about this acquisition and not hear
it somewhere else. We will be contacting you directly in the coming weeks and will
certainly keep you informed as our transition continues.
